Gameplay mechanics
Hi everyone !
Today i'm here to talk a bit about the main mechanic in Through The Frame. The one that you'll hate, and the one that can make you the best player if you manage to understand how it works !
The grappling hook can therefore be used in a number of different ways to allow players the best moves and combos.
Players should be aware of how a grappling hook move works in Through The Frame.
Here's a quick diagram showing the different parameters of a grapple move.
Swinging motion:
The grapple allows the player to move, in fact, when the player pulls it, it pulls the player to his position.
The player can use this grapple to go to specific places.
However, if the player is already under a force before using the grapple, then the grapple can turn into a kind of pendulum.
This movement can be considered simple because it relies mainly on the game's gravity of the game, which is always present, so the player could always succeed in this movement provided he succeeds in the challenges related to the mechanics
Fast movement:
We saw above that the player could use an accumulated force to make precise movements. However, it happens that the forces to which the player is subjected are not opposite and thus prevent the swinging movement. This happens especially when the player tries to move as horizontally as possible to save time.
This movement is considered more difficult because it depends on the player's ability to anticipate. He must be able to anticipate the coming obstacles and the force that directs his character
